Lisa Fraser, Executive Director
Lisa  has served as executive director of the San Luis Obispo County Child Abuse Prevention Council  since January 2001.  In her role as executive director Ms. Fraser orchestrated the design and launch of “Together We Will”-Parent Shared Leadership Academy, serves as Regional Coordinator for the Coastal Tri-Counties Child Abuse Prevention Coalition, convenes the Child Death Review Team and led the development of Partnership for Excellence in Family Support, a network of family resource centers.  In addition, Lisa provided key leadership towards the  establishment of Martha’s Place, an assessment center for at-risk children.  She is a graduate of Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo and earned a teaching credential. Lisa is certified in Facilitative Shared Leadership and provides educational presentations on the California Child Abuse Reporting Law upon request.  Contact Lisa @ 805.543.216 









Michele Gordon
Parent Connection Coordinator

Michele has been teaching Early Childhood Studies and Family Studies courses including: Infant & Toddler Caregiving, Child Development, and Parenting for Cuesta College, Allan Hancock College and Cal Poly for the past 18 years. Additionally, Michele is a certified Parent Educator in the following programs: Active Parenting, Positive Discipline, Parent Project and the Nurturing Parenting Program   She is a graduate of the University of California, Santa Barbara, and earned her master’s degrees in education—with an emphasis in early childhood education—at Sonoma State. Additionally, Michele taught preschool for 12 years (toddlers to pre-k).  Currently, Michele coordinates Parent Connection of SLO County and teaches parenting classes for families of young children (specializing in birth to age 5). She lives in San Luis Obispo with her two teenage sons and her husband, who is a teacher at San Luis Obispo High School.   Michele can be reached on the Parent Connection Resource Line at (805) 543-3700
