Please join us as we learn about gang violence in California and in the local community. You will learn about the types of gangs active in San Luis Obispo County as well as local gang trends in our community. In addition, Mr. Arroyo will talk about risk factors that make youth vulnerable for gang involvement as well ways to identify the early warning signs of gang involvement in youth including gang-associated attire, gang signs, graffiti, music and related at-risk behaviors.
Also, we will have an opportunity to discuss and learn about primary prevention and secondary/tertiary intervention strategies for youth who are at-risk of gang involvement and delinquency.
