Monthly Educational Public Forums / NEXT
PUBLIC FORUM
Monthly educational forums/public meetings are held for
professionals and interested individuals to share information
and ideas and to promote safer childhoods for our children.
These meetings feature key speakers from various fields
and are open to the public as well as individuals working
in child abuse prevention related professions.
The Public Forums also give the attendees an opportunity
to network and brainstorm about better ways to serve the
children of San Luis Obispo county. The Public Forum
is free to anyone who wishes to attend.
In 2004, 261 individuals attended meetings.
The Public Forums are held at the Veterans’ Hall
in San Luis Obispo on the 2nd Thursday of each month from
8:30 AM to 10:30 AM. Anyone interested is welcome and encouraged
to attend. A different topic on Child Abuse Prevention is
presented each month.
